Dierenartsenpraktijk Lieve De Rycke

Welcome to my veterinary practice in Sint-Michiels Bruges ... together with your pet of course

Curious about my vet clinic? Feel free to visit, I'm expecting you!

Space and comfort for you and your pet

In 1996, I moved my veterinary practice from its existing premises to a new building in Barrièrestraat in Sint-Michiels Bruges. This new location offers nothing but advantages, both for myself and for you and your pet. You will no doubt notice this when you visit my practice.

I have several rooms that allow me to work efficiently and, above all, to give you and your pet all the privacy and peace and quiet you need. Because for us humans, visiting the doctor can sometimes be a stressful event, and it's no different for animals.

Discover my private practice

I would like to introduce you to my veterinary practice and briefly outline the premises:

Waiting room - consultation room - operating room - hospitalisation room

1

The waiting room

You will be welcomed in the waiting room. This is a spacious room where the seating is grouped in pairs so that animals are not near each other. To avoid direct contact with dogs, there is even a separate seating area for cats. For everyone's safety and comfort, I ask that you keep your dog on a short leash and bring your cat in a carrier.

2

The consultation room

The consultation room is sparingly furnished to avoid too many stimuli. This is where most examinations and treatments take place: checking your pet's weight, mobility, gestation, vaccinations, nail care, dental care, etc.

3

The operating room

Operative procedures take place in a separate operating room. This is equipped with high-performance medical equipment for surgery, gas anaesthesia and monitoring during surgery.

4

The hospital room

After surgery or during their recovery, your dog or cat can recuperate in adapted pens. For hygienic reasons, the walls and bars are made of stainless steel, making it easy to clean organic material, such as saliva, faeces, blood or urine. The infrared light in the room guarantees sufficient warmth for sick or recuperating animals. To avoid unnecessary stress during hospitalisation, the animals are not in each other's field of vision.
